Cherry Blossoms, Kyung Hee University

You can just BET that wherever there are cherry blossoms you'll find hordes of people trying to snap the perfect picture! I didn't realize just how big the cherry blossom scene is in Korea until moving here two months ago. You can find memorabilia celebrating the season of cherry blossoms, even down to a special can of Coke that is decorated with the special tree flowers.

Because of the excitement of seeing the cherry blossoms before they disappear for the spring, I decided to share my experience of going to see the beautiful trees at Kyung Hee University!

Finding Kyung Hee University wasn't that hard, it's just a short walk from Hoegi Station. You can opt to take a bus once you get to the station, but the weather was so nice it was impossible to not walk. Since the businesses in the area are geared to college students you can find lots of cheap things in the area. Some awesome deals we saw were cheap manicures and lots of great street food for almost next to nothing!

Once we stepped onto the university grounds we were greeted by so many beautiful cherry blossoms!

It was honestly so surprising just HOW many people were there trying to get a picture. People would line up just to have a picture in what they thought was the best place possible. Seeing the beautiful cherry blossoms with the amazing buildings in the background just made the experience so much better!

The ONLY negative part to seeing cherry blossoms at Kyung Hee University would be all the hills you have to walk up. If you like to exercise, this might be the perfect place for you!

So would I do it next year?

Of course! I had such a great time and everyone was so respectful. There was lots to see and the architecture was just an added bonus!
